Stone is required to construct buildings , ships and artillery , as well as to research new technologies and make upgrades . Stone comes from Quarries (workers assigned to mine).
Procurement[ | ]
Stone is carved out of rocks populating the landscape by workers assigned to quarry work (sent to mine them out). More workers produce more stone. Upgrades increase excavation speed.
Strategies[ | ]
A building resource, the importance of which waxes as wood's wanes. Late game buildings and fortifications require plenty of stone, so quarries should slowly siphon off your workers as the game progresses.
